About Us
The Northwind Apartments has a long term contract with HUD to provide Section 8 housing assistance
payments for approved low income families and individuals. You do not need to have a current section
8 voucher to qualify. Often times, this assistance is all it takes to get you started on your
dream of living in Alaska.
The Northwind Apartments consists of 3 ,eight unit buildings with a mix of one, two and three
bedroom apartments. We are located just two blocks from downtown Petersburg.
Our Housing assistance payments are based on the income eligibility requirements set by the Dept of
Housing and Urban Developement. Rent and deposits are income based so it allows you the
opportunity to live within your means as you get established or re-established after a setback. All
utilities are included in the rent at the Northwind Apartments.
